TOWNHALL MEETINGS, MAY 7
1. (SBU) On Thursday, May 7, 2009, US Embassy N'Djamena
convened separate meetings of the FSN Committee and American
citizen wardens to discuss the situation in eastern Chad. The
following issues were discussed at these meetings:
FSN Committee Meeting
1) RSO briefed FSNs of the rebel situation in eastern Chad.
2) Group discussed the current situation in N'Djamena.
3) DCM and the FSN committee reviewed FSN-specific emergency
planning.
Warden Townhall Meeting
1) CON and MED discussed and handed out fact sheets on H1N1.
2) RSO briefed wardens on the situation in eastern Chad.
3) RSO briefed wardens on the Embassy's Emergency Action Plan
(EAP).
4) RSO led discussion of individual emergency planning and
preparedness with group.
2. (SBU) Embassy N'Djamena will reconvened both FSN and
Warden meetings as events in eastern Chad dictate.
