1. On July 7, Post's Kenya U.S. Liaison Office (KUSLO) confirmed
with the Deputy of Operations for the Kenyan Navy Lieutenant Colonel
Milongo that the reftel machine guns had been received and are
located at the Kenyan naval headquarters in Mombasa, Kenya.
2. The machine guns are scheduled to be mounted on the Kenyan navy's
four operational 24 foot and one 42 foot Defender class patrol
craft. The KUSLO office will continue to engage with the Kenyans
concerning any training and maintenance issues and to ascertain when
the installation is complete.
