UNCLAS NAIROBI 001262 DEPT FOR AF/PPD EHRNMAN; ECA/PE/C/CU BARROSSE, PROTCTOR SIPDIS E.O. 12958:N/A TAGS: OEXC SCUL KPAO SUBJECT: PAI Funding Report - 651 Arts in September 2008 1) Embassy Nairobi used a PAI grant to fund three contemporary dancers and an arts manager from 651 Arts in New York, NY to give workshops and perform throughout Nairobi. The program took place from October 25 to 29, 2008 and reached hundreds of young performers, many from the slums. 2) Embassy Nairobi was grateful for the PAI grant from ECA which enabled us to partner with two key arts centers and reach many talented youth. The PAI funds were distributed as follows: Visas $200 Honorarium $2400 Insurance fees $171 Partnering Artist Fees $384 Total from PAI Grant $3155 Post Funds were distributed as follows: Per diem $2585 Photography for Performance $167 Total from post funds 2752 Total Expenses for the Program $5907 RANNEBERGER
