1. This is an action request for human rights verification required
by the Leahy Amendment; see para 2.
2. The Embassy requests the Department's assistance in performing
human rights vetting for:
AL-HARTHY, SAID KHALFAN 'OBAID (DOB: 03-13-1975, Omani Passport #
0077577)
Of the Royal Navy of Oman who intends to travel to the United
States from November 8, 2009 to May 10, 2010 under the
International Military Education Training (IMET) Program Fiscal
Year 2009. Embassy Muscat has found no information of any kind
that this individual has committed human rights violations.
