SUBJECT: Raytheon Secures Multimillion Dollar Contract for New Muscat
Intarnational Airport Radar
(U) On July 23 the Oman News Agency announced that Raytheon had
entered into a contract with the GoO for the design, supply,
installation, and operation of a new radar system for Muscat
International Airport. The contract is valued at approximately $13
million. Raytheon has a successful history of securing large
contracts with the GoO, including the 2005 sale of Monopulse
Secondary Surveillance Radar Systems, valued at over $9 million,
and the 2005 multimillion dollar sale of 100 Javelin missiles.
