¶1. (SBU) Charge d'Affaires delivered reftel information March 17
to Lyutha al-Mughairy, Office Director for Ministry of Foreign
Affairs (MFA) Secretary General Sayyid Badr al-Busaidi. Al-Mughairy
said she understood U.S. concerns regarding Pakistan and would raise
the matter directly with the MFA Secretary General. She did not,
however, provide a substantive response or indicate whether Oman
would participate in the Tokyo conference. Post will follow-up on
this subject as appropriate and send updates via septel.
