December 20. Al Kathiry indicated that he would follow-up on the
issue with the office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Post has
previously demarched various officials within the MFA, including
Yosuf bin Alawi, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs,
regarding the need to urge Iran to resolve the AMCIT cases (reftels
B and C). Post will report the results of Al Kathiry's inquiry as
soon as they are received.
