On July 6, post delivered reftel demarche to the MFA's
Subdirector of Multilateral Affairs, Pamela Vivas, and
Specialist in United Nations Affairs, Gabriela Ortigosa. The
officials were unfamiliar with the cases of the Democracy
Coalition Project and the Dynamic Christian World Mission
Foundation, and will send the information to their colleagues
in Geneva. They were unable to commit support for the
organizations, but agreed, in principle, that NGO inclusion
is an important component of ECOSOC and should not be
politicized.
