1. Mexico's Foreign Secretariat (SRE),per diplomatic note
02765 dated June 1, 2009, addressed to the Embassy, advised
us that Mexico is seeking election to be the host of the 16th
UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference (COP-16)
and the 6th Conference by Parties to the Kyoto Protocol
(COP-MOP-6) to be held in the Latin America and Caribbean
region in 2010.
2 Action Request: Embassy requests Department guidance on
responding to Mexico's appeal for support.
