Pike delivered demarche per reftel to Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and Cooperation Undersecretary for Administration
Clement Mabuza in the absence of the Foreign Minister, Acting
Foreign Minister, and Principal Secretary. Mr. Mabuza
thanked the Ambassador for the update on U.S. policy towards
Afghanistan and stated he would pass the information on to
the Foreign Minister and the cabinet for discussion.
