The Government of Mozambique has requested financing from the International Development Association (IDA) of the World Bank toward the cost of the National Water Resources Development Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultancy services. The services comprehend the Technical Services and Dam Safety Consultancy, which includes a review and finalization of technical requirements for the following structures: i) Completion of the Corumana Dam to restore the full operating level from EL 110 m to 117 m by installing the crest spillway gates and a fuse plug; ii) The Metuchira Dam; iii) The Gorongosa Dam; and iv)The Ressano Garcia weir The work will also include a Dam Safety Audit for Corumana Dam and a Dam Safety Report for the other three structures. ¶8. The National Directorate of Water now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing their services for the above contract. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform their services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications. A Consultant will be selected under Quality Cost Based Selection (QCBS) procedures as set out in the WorldQs Bank Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by Bank Borrowers, May 24 and revised October 2006 edition.
