7. This specific Procurement Notice follows the General
Procurement Notice for this project which appeared in
development Business Issue No. 617 dated October 31,

2003. The Republic of Mozambique has received a loan
from the African Development Fund in the amount of UA 10
millions toward the cost of Education IV Project, and
intends to apply part of the proceeds of the loan to
cover eligible payments under the contracts for the
supply of Equipment and Related Services to Six
Secondary Schools at Nampula, Niassa, Cabo Delgado and
Zambezia provinces. Bidding is open to all bidders from
eligible member countries as defined in the ADBQs Rules
of Procedure for the Procurement of Goods and Works. The
Ministry of Education through the PIU/Direccao de
Planificacao e Cooperacao now invites sealed bids from
prospective bidders for any or all of the following
lots:

Lot 1 - Pemba Secondary School Equipment
Bid Security USD 3,500 - Delivery 120 days
Lot 2 Q Cumba Secondary School Equipment
Bid Security USD 6,000 - Delivery 120 days
Lot 3 - P.S. Kankomba Secondary School Equipment
Bid Security USD 6,000 - Delivery 120 days
Lot 4 - Mocuba Secondary School Equipment
Bid Security USD 6,000 Q Delivery 120 days
Lot 5 Q Ribaue Secondary School Equipment
Bid Security USD 6,000 Q Delivery 120 days
Lot 6 - Montepuez Secondary School Equipment
Bid Security USD 6,000 Q Delivery 120 days


8. Complete set of bidding documents (and additional
copies) may be purchased from February 9, 2009 at the
above mentioned address, upon payment of a non
refundable fee of USD 100.00 or its equivalent in a
freely convertible currency, payable in cash or to the
account 2002969 Q Banco Internacional de Mocambique
(BIM). Interested eligible bidders may obtain further
information and inspect the bidding documents at the
same address. For delivery of the Tender Documents, by
DHL, a fee of USD 80.00 is required.


9. The Instructions to Bidders and General Conditions
of Contract contained in the bidding documents comply
with the BankQs Standard Bidding Documents for the
Procurement of Small Goods, August 2000. Bids must
remain valid for 120 days after the bid opening date and
must be accompanied by the security deposits/bonds of
the above indicated Bid security, in local currency or
its equivalent in a freely convertible currency and be
delivered to the address given on Item 6B on or before
10:00 (local time) on April 10, 2009. Bids will be
opened in the presence of bidders representatives who
