(SBU) In response to reftel demarche, the Philippine Department of
Foreign Affairs informed Econoff that it will join its ASEAN
counterparts and call for the postponement of the Extraordinary
Meeting organized by the Director General of the International
Telecommunications and Satellite Organization (ITSO) on July 8-9,
¶2009. The Philippines will convey this position through the
Malaysian representative. The Philippines will monitor succeeding
events through its Embassy in Rome, Italy.
