Per reftel demarche, details on the BMENA Forum for the
Future in Marrakesh were conveyed to Spanish MFA Deputy
Director General for North Africa Manuel Gomez-Acebo, along
with a copy of the information note supplied to the USG by
the Kingdom of Morocco. Gomez-Acebo said that Spain
concurred with our views on the importance of the summit and
supported its objectives. Foreign Minister Moratinos hopes
to attend if his schedule permits.
