(SBU) As per reftel request, Post contacted EADS CASA to
follow-up on an end-use check for License 05-1000927
regarding aviation materials. David de Teran, Chief of
Export Control for EADS CASA, confirmed to Econoff that all
listed materials had been received. He explained that the
parts had been installed in four separate C-295 military
transport aircrafts, two of which were delivered to the
Portuguese Air Force in early March 2009. On March 12, De
Teran confirmed that the other two aircraft, which are in the
testing and training phase, are expected to be delivered to
the Portuguese Air Force in April and May 2009, respectively.
These four planes account for all the parts listed in
License 05-1000927.
CHACON
