1. (U) As of August 17, there are 201 Slovenian H1N1 cases,
according to the Institute for National Health. The number of
reported cases this week has grown from 162 on August 10.
2. (U) The National Institute of Health (IVZ) announced last week
that it will only release infection figures on a weekly basis,
rather than on a daily basis. New numbers are available each Monday
on its website.
3. (U) According to news reports this week, Slovenia's Health
Ministry has signed a contract with GlaxoSmithKline that will
provide 800,000 doses of the vaccine as part of measures to deal
with the disease. The first doses of the vaccine were predicted to
be delivered either at the end of September or in early October.
