1. (C) On August 19, Emboff met with Matjaz Marko from the
Asia and Pacific Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
to deliver reftel talking points regarding the conviction of
Aung San Suu Kyi. Marko expressed GOS unity with the EU
position strongly condemning the conviction. He also stated
GOS supports further EU sanctions targeting members of the
judiciary involved with Kyi's trial.
