(C) DCM delivered reftel demarche January 16 to Tomaz
Mencin, the Director of the MFA's Directorate for Africa,
Near East and Asia. Mencin said Slovenia appreciated the
advance notice and supported any effort aimed at bringing
about a cease-fire. He asked if Israel had been offered
other incentives to encourage it to adopt a ceasefire.
Mencin also asked if Slovenia could be briefed on the
specific provisions of the MOU.
