Emboff delivered reftel's points to Boris Selan, Ministry of
Environment, passed U.S. views on the Statute of the
International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA),sought support
for UAE as HQ, and requested Slovenia's position on the
selection of the DG, and the mission of IRENA. Selan said
that Slovenia did not intend to participate in the IRENA
conference in Cairo. Slovenia signed the IRENA treaty but
has not yet ratified it. He explained that Slovenia's lead
on this, Hinko Solinc, is out of the country for the
remainder of June and Selan was unable to provide any further
information.
