(C) On January 16, emboff notified Andrej Slapnicar, Minister
Plenipotentiary in the MFA's Security Policy Division, of the
U.S. intention to request the listing of individuals
affiliated with the Taliban or al-Qaida who were formerly
detained in Iran (ref A) and five Pakistanis affiliated with
the Taliban or al-Qaida (ref B). Slapnicar said that he did
not know of any connection between these individuals and
Slovenia, but he would share the information with other
relevant ministries and respond if anything came to light.
