(C) Finance Minister Krizanic told CDA on April 16 that
Slovenia strongly supports Kosovo's membership in the IMF and
World Bank. Fully understanding the urgency of achieving a
quorum, Krizanic explained that Slovenia intends not only to
vote for Kosovo, but is also reaching out to Bosnian and
"other Foreign Ministers" to urge them to do the same.
Although the Slovenian IMF Governor is not available to meet
until April 21, Krizanic assured us that Slovenia would vote
for Kosovo's membership in both organizations. Post also
raised this issue with MFA head of Southeastern Europe
Division, who reiterated Slovenia's support for Kosovo's
membership in international financial institutions.
