Although Ribeiro expressed concern regarding the plight of
internally displaced persons in Sri Lanka and acknowledged
that it would continue to be a difficult issue for the
foreseeable future, he stated his firm understanding that the
Sri Lanka Freedom of Movement issue was no longer on the
agenda for the September 14-15 GAERC discussions. He
therefore had no comment at this time.
