On April 17 Pol-Econ officer shared the 2009 Plenary Meeting
agenda and reftel points with Portuguese MFA Deputy Director
for Non-Proliferation Joao Fins do Lago jointly with Dutch
and Russian representatives. Fins do Lago said Portugal
remains committed to Global Initiative efforts and will
participate in the May meeting, but the level of
participation and possible speaking roles at the meeting are
still under discussion. Fins do Lago also said Portugal is
considering hosting future GICNT activities pending review of
available resources and coordination with other events.
