(S/NF) In response to reftel, post determines that the only infrastructure or resources in Peru that may qualify as critical foreign dependencies are some of Peru's key mines. Peru is among the top five producers in the world of silver, copper, zinc, tin, lead, molybdenum, and gold. According to Peru's customs authority (SUNAT),in 2008, Peru exported the following amounts of these minerals to the United States: -- Copper & Copper Products: 138,931 metric tons -- Gold: 146 metric tons -- Silver & Silver Products: 653 metric tons -- Tin: 7,337 metric tons -- Molybdenum: 5,159 metric tons -- Zinc: 109,244 metric tons -- Lead: 9,494 metric tons. ¶2.
