1. The Foreign Ministry has presented the Embassy with
diplomatic note 22-6-GG/71 announcing Peru's candidacy for
the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC) for the period
2011-2014, and requesting USG support for Peru's candidacy.
We have emailed scanned copies of the diplomatic note, its
accompanying aide memoire, and informal translations of both
documents to the Peru desk. Embassy requests the
Department's guidance in providing a formal response to this
diplomatic note.
