Foreign Affairs Director of Political Affairs Paul
Chiunguzeni, on October 27. Chiunguzeni recalled the
demarche of June 2009 on the same topic. Emboff stressed Ms.
Myer's eminent qualifications and urged that the Malawi
delegation be instructed to vote for her in the upcoming ISCS
election. When the question was put to him directly,
Chiunguzeni stated that Malawi's UNGA delegation would vote
for the U.S. candidate.
