1. Post delivered reftel points and copies of the TVPRA list
and the E.O. 13126 list to Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Director of Political Affairs Paul Chiunguzeni on September
9. Mr. Chiunguzeni offered no substantive response.
2. We also delivered reftel points and lists to Labor
Commissioner Elias Zirikudondo, Deputy Labor Commissioner
Michael Mwasikakata, and Head of the Child Labor section Paul
Gondwe on September 10. The Ministry of Labor (MOL)
officials requested further information on the source
material used by DOL in compiling the lists. We subsequently
provided the link to the bibliographic information cited in
reftel paragraph 13. MOL officials offered no further
substantive response.
3. To date, Post has received no press inquiries, nor has the
press reported on the subject.
