Polcouns briefed MFA non-proliferation lead Jassem Al-Najem
August 27 on the planned January 2010 Leading Edge NPT
exercise to be conducted in the UAE (reftel). Polcouns urged
full Kuwaiti participation. Al-Jassem expressed strong
interest in the exercise and said he anticipated that Kuwait
will be pleased to participate, but being new on the job said
he would need to confirm this with his superiors and promised
to get back to us asap.
