1. (U) POLOFF on July 6 delivered reftel demarche inquiring
about Kuwait's plans for its UNGA delegation. Dr. Rashid
Al-Saleh, Second Secretary of MFA's International
Organizations Department, responded that the GOK has not yet
determined the composition of its delegation, but will inform
Embassy when it completes its planning.
2. (U) Attendance of the Head of State: plans unknown; did
not attend last year.
-- Name and title: His Highness Shaykh Sabah Al-Ahmad
Al-Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait.
-- Arrival and departure dates to and from New York and other
U.S. locations, and whether the head of state
will be present for the General Debate. Unknown.

travel to New York. The Amir is not currently married.
-- Whether interpretation would be required in a bilateral or
