Khaled Al-Jarallah. Jarallah welcomed the preview ofthe
President's speech, saying Kuwait supports and appreciates
the U.S. effort in Afghanistan. He in particular applauded
increased civilian assistance for Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Jarallah observed that Kuwait shares the U.S. goal of
eliminating Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan, since
defeating Al-Qaeda there would result in greater safety and
security in the Gulf region. Jarallah closed by saying he
looked forward to receiving the text of the President's
speech when available.
