1. Pursuant to reftel request, Econoff has made contact with
the Royal Malaysian AIR FORCE (RMAF) during the weeks of 19
August and 26 August regarding License 050096758. This
license concerns one (1) item of Lot Radar Altimeter
Indicator Amplifier Detector Generator Control Unit worth
approximately USD two million. Econoff learned that the RMAF
point of contact listed in reftel B departed in late summer
2009, and has been replaced by Major Shahrani. Maj. Shahrani
said that, with the description provided of the item in
question, he has been unable to find the item either in
inventory or within their databases. Shahrani is unsure
whether the item has arrived, and did not seem personally
familiar with it. However, he appears to be reasonably new
in his position and, admittedly, the RMAF inventory is
massive.
2. Any further clarification that AM/DTTC can offer on this
license would be appreciated, as Shahrani has indicated that
he could look again if he had further information. We
appreciate your assistance on this matter.
