(SBU) Acting Political Counselor met with Shazryll Zahiran,
Principal Assistant Secretary in the Malaysian Foreign
Ministry's Disarmament and Non-Proliferation Division, on
February 20 to discuss the Mayrow case, and to provide ref A
talking points and non-paper. Shazryll thanked us for
providing the additional information, which he said he would
convey to the Undersecretary for Disarmament and
Non-Proliferation (Balachandran Tharman) who has lead
responsibility for this issue at MFA. Shazryll endeavored
to brief Balachandran upon his return to KL from overseas TDY
travel next week.
