1. We met in June with Banza Ngoy Katumwe, head of the MFA's
International Organizations Directorate, delivering ref B
points supporting the candidacy of Lucretia Myers for
election to the International Civil Service Commission. We
subsequently presented Ngoy a French language translation of
Myers' CV. Ngoy said the GDRC had not yet decided which
candidates it would supprt, but he noted that Myers'
background and CV "were impressive."
