PolCouns and PolOff met on May 7 with Tati Xavier-Honore,
Head of the MFA's Africa and Middle East Directorate, to
deliver reftel points on Madagascar. Tati confirmed that the
GDRC supports the U.S. position that new elections are
necessary in the current context in Madagascar. He also
reiterated GDRC support for the SADC and AU positions that
the constitutional government needs to be restored in
Antananarivo.
