1. (U) Per reftel, EmbOff presented demarche and diplomatic note to
solicit support for U.S. candidacy for WHO executive board.
Demarche and dipnote were delivered to Ms. Shae-Alicia Lewis and
Mr. Rohan Clarke of the International Organizations Department of
the Government of Jamaica (GOJ)'s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and
Foreign Trade (MFAFT) on the morning of November 24. Lewis
responded that the GOJ would make its decision by May 2010 and
would inform Emboff once it had done so. Post will relay any
substantive response.
