note and points in the course of a private meeting
with the Under Secretary for Multilateral Affairs
in the Government of Jamaica (GoJ)'s Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade (MFAFT),
Ambassador Vilma McNish, on the morning of April
17.
2.(SBU) Amb. McNish reiterated that the GoJ
welcomed the USA's candidacy, as it was better to
exert influence by working from within an
organization than from without. Post will report
any further developments.
