(C) ACTION REQUEST: Several Indonesian government officials,
including State Secretary Hatta Rajasa, Presidential
International Affairs advisor Dino Patti Djalal and G-20
Sherpa and Deputy Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs
Mahendra Siregar asked EMBASSY officials for a response to
the economic assistance requests made to Secretary Clinton
during her recent visit to Jakarta. These officials asked
about the current status of requests made by President
Yudhoyono and Foreign Minister Wirajuda (refs) regarding
possible provision of a bilateral currency swap with the
Federal Reserve and a possible USG bilateral add-on (such as
those provided by Australia and Japan) to the World Bank-led
contingency financing package approved March 3.
