1. (U) Summary: U.S. Embassy Islamabad and host nation
concur with Special Operations Command Central,s (SOCCENT)
and 3rd Special Forces Group,s (SFG)(Airborne) Concept of
Operation (CONOP) for conducting a Joint Combined Exchange
Training (JCET) event with the Pakistan Army,s (PAKARMY)
Special Service Group (SSG).
2. (U) Embassy Islamabad, in coordination with the
Government of Pakistan, concur with SOCCENT,s CONOP (Ref B)
for conducting Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET)
between the 3rd SFG and the PAKARMY SSG from May 1 ) Jul 2,
2009.
3. (U) Partner Nation (PN) Organization requesting this
event: Major General Aslam Haroon, Commanding Officer of the
Pakistan Army Special Service Group (SSG) requests that the
3rd Commando Battalion, SSG receive the proposed training.
4. (U) Leahy Human Rights Vetting has been submitted,
conducted, and approved for the participating Pakistani
commanders and their units.
