(SBU) On June 4, PolOff delivered U.S. Diplomatic Note for
the Protocol to the Extradition Treaty and the Treaty on
Certain Aspects of Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal
Matters between the United States of America and the Republic
of Finland to Paivi Kaukoranta, Director and Anna Esko, First
Secretary, MFA Unit for EU and Treaty Law. Esko noted that
Italy and Greece are pending action for the EU to complete
the agreements; however, she expected results in the near
future. A formal note from Finland in response to the
delivery of the documents will be forthcoming.
