(U) Emboffs delivered demarche on US candidacy for service on the
World Health Organization Executive Board for 2009 (Ref A) to the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Public Health and
Social Assistance, Dr. Ludwig Ovalle Cabrera on November 24. Both
Ministries agreed to consider the USG's request and stated that
they would advise the Embassy of their position once the matter
came closer to a vote in May 2010.
