Embassy delivered reftel letter and supporting materials to
the Botswana Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 21 via
diplomatic note, with a copy to the Ministry of Agriculture.
However, we have received no substantive reply. Please note
that Botswana held national elections on October 16 and the
newly-elected President and Parliament were sworn in this
week. Botswana's new cabinet was named October 21. Post
will follow up with the offices of Foreign Minister Skelemani
and Agriculture Minister De Graaf in coming weeks and report
any new developments septel.
