1. Emboff delivered reftel demarche to Ministry of Foreign
Affairs Director for International Organization Affairs
Muazzafar Husseinov on June 16. Husseinov said Tajikistan's
Ambassador to Egypt would represent Tajikistan at the Egypt
meeting, and that Tajikistan supported the United Arab Emirates
as host of the IRENA headquarters. However, Tajikistan would
not be able to ratify the IRENA Statute before the Egypt
Meeting. He had no comment on the mission and purpose of IRENA,
but assured emboff that Tajikistan would offer views on this
soon.
