1. (SBU) On April 16, PolOff delivered reftel demarche and
supporting documents to Muzafar Khuseinov, Head of the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs Department of International Organizations.
Khuseinov said that the government was still considering our
request for support. He said that Tajikistan had received
requests for support from other countries, although he did not
mention which ones. He said he expected that the Government of
Tajikistan would support the United States' candidacy.
