1. (U) According to Emma Leonard of Irish Aid, Ireland has
approved Euro 550,000 in emergency funding to assist
Pakistan's displaced persons. These funds will be
distributed through both NGOs (Concern and Trocaire) and UN
entities (UNICEF and OCHA). Additionally, Ireland has
provided supplies including blankets, tents, and kitchen
equipment to UNHCR in Pakistan.
