(SBU) Post proposes the following Timor-Leste National Police member for Department clearance for participation in PACOM-coordinated Title X-funded training. This training involves attendance at the Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies where the individual will attend the Comprehensive Security Responses to Terrorism course. Course will take place from April 16, 2009 to May 12, 2009. Post did not find any credible evidence of gross violations of human rights by individual. The approximate U.S. funding for this training is $24,000.00. Post requests cable reply within ten working days (as per prescribed reftel) in order to avoid cancellation of this training. ¶2.
