(SBU) Pol-Econoff March 30 discussed International Court of
Justice (ICJ) deliberation on Kosovo independence (reftel A)
with Masudur Rahman, Director, Americas and Pacific Wing,
Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Rahman stated he did
not expect Government of Bangladesh (GOB) to file a brief
with the ICJ on this subject. Echoing earlier discussions on
the subject (Reftel B) Rahman stated the GOB would not likely
take a stance regarding Kosovo independence on its own, but
may participate in collective action by the Organization of
the Islamic Conference.
