This is an action request. See para three. ¶2. The following candidate has been selected for participation in The US Pacific Command 22nd Annual International Military Operations and Law Conference in New Zealand, which will begin on March 29, ¶2009. Post vetting was completed on March 17, 2009. Post requests that vetting be completed by March 27 to provide sufficient time for processing. Post requests the department conduct Leahy vetting for the following candidate: ¶1. Name: Abdul Motaleb Bablu Rank: Group Captain Unit: Air HQ Unit Location: Dhaka Personal Number: 7318 Date of Birth: 10 November 1961 Place of Birth: Dhaka, Bangladesh ¶3. Post requests that the Department of State authorize post to make the following statement to the relevant DOD units: "Embassy verifies that the Department of State possesses no credible information of gross violations of human rights by the above named individual or unit." ¶4. Post Human Rights Officer is David Arulanantham, unclass e-mail:arulananthamdp@state.gov. ¶5.
