This is an action request. See para three. ¶2. The following candidate has been selected for participation in the Annual Pacific Command Special Operations Conference 09(PASOC 09) in Honolulu, Hi, USA, which will begin on March 29, 2009. Post vetting was completed on February 12, 2009. Post requests that vetting be completed by March 1, 2009 to provide sufficient time for processing. Post requests the department conduct Leahy vetting for the following candidates: ¶1. Name: Tanjim Ahmad Rank: State Minister, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Unit: Ministry of Foreign Affairs Unit Location: Dhaka Secretariat, Dhaka Personal Number: N/A Date of Birth: 05 January 1970 Place of Birth: Dhaka, Bangladesh ¶3. Post requests that the Department of State authorize post to make the following statement to the relevant DOD units: "Embassy verifies that the Department of State possesses no credible information of gross violations of human rights by the above named individual or unit." ¶4.
