1.(S/NF) SARG MFA Chief of Staff Bassam Sabbagh informed Charge
on June 4 that the Minister of Foreign Affairs had set the
date of Friday, June 12, 2009 for meeting with the CENTCOM
delegation, with the caveat that this meeting does not mark
the formal beginning of security cooperation. He said all
delegation members would be able to hold discussions with
their SARG counterparts. Post will need to provide as soon
as possible a dipnote detailing the names of USG delegation
members, their positions, as well as their places of
embarkation for waiver of entry requirements.
