(C) During an April 15 meeting, Ambassador discussed reftel
demarche on voting for Kosovo's membership in the IMF and
World Bank with Senegal's Finance Minister Abdoulaye Diop.
Minister Diop thanked the Ambassador for the information and
responded immediately that because Senegal in February 2008
recognized Kosovo's independence he plans to vote in favor of
Kosovo's membership in these bodies, noting that support from
the IFIs is very important for Kosovo's future. Diop added
the clarification that to date he had not received any
instructions on how to vote, but that he did not intend to
ask for any.
